Richard North

Whether you prefer the North and South or Jane Eyre?
Have you seen the BBC mini-series North and South with Richard Armitage? You like?
Two hands in the air to the north and south. As Jane Eyre has a novelty value, at the end the two main characters are totally unsympathetic (I mean thus, as the reader, I found it very difficult to point out, one of them) and made foolish decisions. North and South, however, is a structured approach and pace perfectly novel dealing with shades of gray without giving simple answers. Gaskell moves effortlessly from a descriptive prose spiritual dialogue and character development of trails (and several secondary characters too) is wonderful. So much more satisfying to Jane Eyre. And yes, I saw the mini-series. Richard Armitage is the hottest man alive today.

Gladiator: More Music From The Motion Picture $8.95 If there's one thing film producers and record executives like more than Success, it's Success: Part 2. Thus when Ridley Scott's high-tech sword 'n' sandal epic scored both Golden Globe wins and Academy Award nods for Best Film and Best Score, it was a sure bet that another volume of Hans Zimmer's and Lisa Gerrard's music for the film couldn't be far behind. Though not exactly leftovers, the track... |

While their occasionally electro-pumped rhythms and youth-angled marketing shtick ("... |
