Why does the National League play more day games than the American League during the work week?

The work week is Monday through Friday.

I find it a bit odd myself – typically, a lot of National League teams are one or two time zones behind teams of the American League. Look at the tradition, though, of stadiums like Wrigley Field. They were MADE for day games. A lot of A.L. games are much more popular night events, while I know personally that cities like Atlanta, Chicago, even LA – enjoy games more during the day. It’s very odd, I know, but I believe that’s how it works.
