What happens at the end of You've been warned by James Patterson?

I found the end of "You've been warned by James Patterson somewhat confusing. I have my own version of the end, but I like how she interpreted other. In I think – I saw him still being alive at the end of his time, a second chance. Almost as if she could change her life, repent of their sins, and thereby have a chance to go to heaven. What does everyone think?
