how much time passed between the first book and the last one released(the final warning)?

in the final warning it says 6 months but i dont know if it’s since they got recaptured or since the begining of the 1st book….

in the final warning it does say 6 months, time goes by slow in the books.i thought it would atleast be a year or two, after all they’ve been through
