Why do so many philosophers today still clinging to the idea of dualism, when science proves otherwise?

I understand that some philosophers intelligent … they just do not seem to be in my philosophy class, I guess. However, many people still seem to cling to the idea that our mind is different of our brain, when in reality … our brain is also responsible for our dreams, personality, etc. So why do many philosophers today still clinging to dualism, and I do not believe the scientific evidence that the brain is our mind, not a ghost within us separately?

Great question. However, reported any philosopher will tell you that the idea of "dualism" is classically died of Neuroscience. Any kind of metaphysical "soul" would not be cognitively capable of making decisions or the reasons behind the personality (That's what the brain). But there is the idea that a kind of "unconscious" metaphysical entity remains the leading cause for consciousness, but it takes a back seat of the brain linked deterministic. concept of 'The soul of the' as' God 'is becoming redefined to avoid colliding with modern science.
