Book Review – Guerrilla marketing for free

Of course, advertising is easy if you're Pepsi, or Apple, but what if you do not millions of dollars launching TV and print ads? Any business owner out there looking to reduce your marketing budget should look beyond Guerrilla marketing for free – Dozens of toll Tactics to Promote Your Business and Boost Your Profits by Jay Conrad Levinson.

We've all heard examples of companies that do not spend anything on marketing, yet never seems to fail on the clients (Krispy Kreme Doughnuts come to mind), but how they do? On the first page Levinson book lets you know that it is possible to grow a business without spending a dollar on marketing, but it takes a lot of energy and time. Each simple tactics, the book deals (some 100) are deceptively simple and, by Levinson, have proved their worth.

Everything you need to get started is a phone, a computer, printer, business cards, and Internet access. After that, you will not spend one dollar more. The techniques range from the relatively obvious, such as "writing a Marketing Plan "and" have a website, "things are not as obvious as" the establishment of a referral program " and "participate in your community. "

Most tactics involve give to get. In addition to volunteer in your community Levinson suggests joining networks of local groups, giving away your product free of charge to nonprofit organizations and schools, and make free presentations in your field of expertise to local organizations. Levinson tactics will not only improve your results, they will help you become an entrepreneur more altruistic.

If there is one drawback to this book is that some of the techniques that computers are obsolete. For example, Levinson suggests advertising free online classified sites. It may have worked years, but these days the sites are covered by the spam and I doubt that any company would gain nothing to be featured on them. The book was written in 2003, though most of the techniques are very useful, but there are some that stand out as inapplicable in 2006.

When reading Guerrilla Marketing by Jay Conrad Levinson free, I found myself constantly putting down and write ideas that could help strengthen the potential of my business. Levinson actually invokes your creativity. And best part is that all techniques are cost nothing. It is a hassle-free purchase for all entrepreneurs and small business owners.
