Frederick Forsyth

What good Books in the action, thriller genre would you recommend?
…aside from the Robert Ludlum (The Bourne identity–series), Alistair MacLean, Ian Fleming, Frederick Forsyth types of books.
It could be in the Action Thriller sub-genre, Political thriller, Spy thriller (like “The Riddle of the Sands” –arguably the first modern thriller, written in 1903), Techno-thriller, Religious thriller (like Umberto Eco’s novels)…even science fiction thrillers (like “Jurassic Park”)..
Interesting recommendations from Herschel and Muinghan…thanks!
All of the Stieg Larsson books:
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,
The Girl Who Played with Fire and

Stieg Larsson was the second most sold author in the WORLD last year! These books are awesome – great fiction – and thriller fiction.
