What is the value of 'ish?
According to Webster's:
-Ish: or belonging to a nation or people, like Irish or property d 'a little devil boy, high enough, blue, circa, about fifty.
The other day, while entertaining Emily, granddaughter of brother of three years, Harold on my back porch, where French doors open my office, the phone rang. I heard a voice I have to recognize and name can not leave a message instead that I should call immediately "something" does.
I apologized of my business that I know repented and prayed for the lighting of refrigerator "I had done.
He refused to say, and he Just repeat, "google my name" and I prayed:
"What have I done?" I'm sorry, I just track, have mercy me brother. My team is in the satellite is slow. Tell me what I did, have mercy on me brother. "
"Do you call the people Black N ——?
"No, I said and I thought, 'but I just do! "
"You call the Spanish S —-?"
"No," I said and thought ", but Do It Alone! "
"Then why did you say he was a Jew?
"Are not you?"
He had been offended by my ignorance of the reproach of the lack of an ISH as a Jew. I grew up Catholic and never heard the word Catholicish. My grandfather, a Polish Jew who died before he could learn a lot from our parents were gassed and fries, because good people did nothing for a very long time. Maybe if you had known before the end of the esophageal varices secondary to cirrhosis of the liver secondary to drink too much, then perhaps, have learned to understand ish "in every Jew.
It goes without saying, however, my flame Irish and that person that I had not crossed since 2006 has become an interruption in my life.
Have you thought an email with an explanation of The "something" he had done and ask what he wanted me to do about it?
He wanted me to delete it completely! I tried to explain the history and not more than he can even be read, but a great blog topic. I apologized repeatedly, but he refused my heartfelt pleas, he insisted that I delete the word "Jew" because he did not "ish".
He had mercy on me at all, and there was my Irish temper and killed him with words. Suffice it to say, it took note of how he suddenly interrupted my life is much of things and driven by the urgency of the present moment, because what shocks me is that no journalist will ask for access to any candidate on whom the light of the ongoing misery in Gaza, a division of Jerusalem, the rights of refugees, the wall, the settlements continue, more than 500 points control that prevent Indigenous peoples of the earth right of access to legal ownership of their homes, family reunification, employment and shrines in the light of this historic year, the 60th anniversary of Israel, Al Nakba / disasters and the UN Universal Declaration Human Rights Declaration, in which the Israeli state itself has been submitted. I quote an article, but many are also victims of violence and denied by the best ally of the United States for indigenous peoples of Palestine / Israel.
Article 13.
(1) Any Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state.
(2) Everyone has the right to leave any country including his own and to return to their country.
A few hours after saying goodbye to Brother Harold and Emily, I got left to the liver, new a suspicious death of a person I knew, admired and was inspired by nearly four years, Riad Hamad.
Riad corpses was dredged from a tape Austin, Texas, lake, around the face and hands tied, April 15, 2008. [1]
The last call I with Riyadh came two days after Wednesday, February 27, 2008, on how he had been in her bathroom preparing for work when rank in his modest apartment in Austin, Texas, and 18 federal agents with guns came and took her sanctuary.
Riad was one of the first I met after I became a journalist and activist for civil equality of human rights and justice for all. Over the last four years, had almost Riyadh was the inspiration, friend, brother and partner in helping the poorest children in occupied Palestine. His family, students and international supporters are united in our grief more committed to PCWF / Fund Palestine Children's Welfare, and Riad was the visionary founder, coordinator and connector.
Riad has been through that I met many other passionate advocates and volunteers driven by the pursuit of justice, equality and human rights hearts compassion. Riyadh has established a global community then the U.S. to Beirut, where he had lived near the Palestinian refugee camps. He witnessed their difficulties, and led by compassion for the least and most oppressed, has decided to extend its support to their fellow Arabs who seek justice, human rights, such as their right to return to their homes and their land or have agreed to receive just compensation.
Riad and PCWF had been studied immediately after 9 / 11 national security and no evidence of wrongdoing has been found. However, on February 27 about 18 FBI agents and the IRS to carry arms and flattening an order by Judge Robert Pittman, [well known for their hostility towards the Palestinians and Arabs, and with whom Riad had previous experience with] searched every nook and cranny of his apartment.
They left with more than forty boxes of documents, files, computers, diaries of her daughter's childhood, CDs and an ounce and a half of catnip.
No charges have been filed both against Riad and he was not arrested, but investigators say there is probable cause to investigate mail fraud, bank fraud and money laundering.
Riad was a staunch defender of the Palestinians, especially women and children living in the territories occupied West Bank, Gaza and Lebanon. He created the Palestine Children's Welfare Fund, a humanitarian who has raised millions of dollars to meet the basic needs of Palestinian children and their schools, to help other charities and hospitals.
On April 21, 2008, I spoke Paul Larudee, the last person who spoke in Riyadh before his death, and the treasurer and director of grants PCWF. I learned that among issues raised by the FBI and IRS were those belonging to another person who has requested their return a few weeks ago to do your taxes.
A bureaucrat said: "Oh, we have not even had time to something like that again!
Riad out of this world will not be silent your voice, because all those who knew him even more determined to PCWF now, and hands that makes good Riad will not be refunded.
Prior to death, Riad found replacements for each job, except to fill orders for goods from the West Bank and sent by the Austin, Texas store.
Paul wrote April 23, 2008:
All except the sale of PCWF is now a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit based in California. Riyadh and set in February. Of course, the share of sales was the largest generating more than one million dollars and create jobs for many Palestinians. However, if someone wants doing what he did to Riyadh to receive, store and ship items, I fear that donations will help keep projects in Palestine.
Husam will send me a report on the needs of projects in Palestine and I will be funding under the bill. The address is on the list for donations on the site, and people can also donate via PayPal @ http://www.pcwf.org/

I met Husam Bethlehem in June 2005, when he worked with the Holy Land Trust, a charity involved in the coordination of non-violent resistance to occupation in the footsteps of Jesus, Gandhi and King.
I met Paul in July 2005, while attending Hebrew Berkeley [TIKKUN to heal, repair, transform the world], the first conference for spiritual progressives.
Riyadh, an Arab Muslim, has helped the Christian population Palestine occupied by exporting their handicrafts and oil have been paid and good wages. Everyone associated with volunteers PCWF have been forced by the heart of compassion to help the least and most forgotten in the turmoil of 40 years of military occupation, children and women. Riad memory and has helped more than any other fact.
The death of this great American is connected directly to years of bullying and racism he had to endure.
And I can not help but wonder about the depth of pain and loss of Riyadh that the world has made his dramatic exit in light of how an American Jewish literary critic bed ignoring racism in my lack of "ish".
The most disconcerting to me, as I had read nothing in VIVA LA ESPERANZA KEEP or on my site which gave some reason to believe he was anti-Jewish or anti-Semitic. Only the absence three letters that caused him discomfort.
I had expected to converse with me on my blog on my Paux false, but he wanted I remove it completely! He insisted to remove the "Jew" who did not "ISH BTW a type of comment I made about three months earlier.
This particular critic had first contacted me in 2006, after reading a copy of my first book, keep hope happened to be picked up at the office of our mutual dentist three days earlier. By chance, I gave three copies to keep hope alive in the waiting room and happened in a critique of books he read and loved. He wrote a commentary that I liked too, and was very grateful. He told me I was free to use any way you want. I thanked him and still do.
But Last week, after searching with Google's name has been raised to "something" that I, the publication of a PS to comment January 7, 2008, on a thread started by "Paloma Culture" in a site has not visited since shortly after:
[2] What is the value of a tree?
Submitted by Culture Dove on Tue, 01/07/2008 – 19:05.
In the first episode of the television series of short duration, Joan of Arcadia, Joan has an encounter with a young man who realizes God in the flesh. She tries to put in place, asking: "So, how about a Miracle? "In response, the young man points to a tree and said simply:" No "." But it's just a tree, "said Joan impressed. She is silenced by the reply: "You try to do."
… If their faith is in God of creation or the wisdom of science (or two), we must all begin to find our place in the fabric of life and live accordingly.
My comment:
more trees

The olive tree is sacred to the three branches of Father Abraham's descendants, who all share the history the dove returned to Noah with the olive branch of peace.
Over one million olive trees have been plowed and destroyed by the illegal apartheid wall in the "Holy Land", which is in pieces, Bantustans.
The olive tree is not only the Palestinians, but it is your life!
They are the names of trees that live for centuries, if not plow.
They feed their children fruit of the tree and making oil, soap and wood crafts and nothing is lost.
This day we call 9 / 11 inspired by a refugee in 1948 of Galileo Fund OLIVIER nonprofit Foundation for Peace dedicated to raising awareness of the abomination of the secular state Israel has violated the holy land, + [in the hope of Tikkun, to heal, repair and transform the world], providing funds for planting seedlings 3 years olive.
Until now, OTFFP took root more than 30,000 trees on both sides of the wall.
The first of my five trips to Israel and Palestine following the drafting of "keep hope."
This story is a fictionalized account of memory well remembered by Mr. Diab, 1948 Muslim refugees from the Upper Galilee, who went to the United States and realized the American dream.
After a lucrative career in the field of defense during the Cold War and that day we call 9 / 11, Khaled Diab brought together American Jews, Christians and Muslims to respond to evil with good by founding the 501 3-c Olive Trees Foundation for Peace.
"Keep Hope Alive", explains its history and is a chronological history of connections to antiquity, and hope for the future.
"Keep Hope Alive" is a vehicle 100% Fundraising for OTFFP and is also my spiritual journey, told through six fictional characters who represent six ways Intuit God.
Book Review www.midwestbookreview.com:
"At first I thought it something to do with the famous line of Jessie Jackson. I pleased to say that it's much, much more. The author shows that many people around the world are going in the right direction to establish peace in the Middle East. The organization Olivos Foundation for Peace / en OTFFP Arabs, Jews and Christians who have formed a non-profit non-political with the aim to Israelis and Palestinians live side by side in peace.
"These are people from all walks of life who are committed to change region in a peaceful region. Social Movements like this until finally government jumps on board. It is against policy the Bush administration. As the dialogue continues to grow in this issue of government will be forced to rethink its approach to the region. It is a book that should be read by anyone who does not think there will be no peace in the Middle East. Should also be included in schools and universities to help focus on how the region can move toward peace. –
[PS Staff My dentist told me that literary criticism has been] a Jew who took a copy of my book review was not sought and that an act of God is cross.

When Jew ish written without "never crossed my mind that would be interpreted as disrespectful in any way to any Jewish person. My goal has been cause and invite my brothers and sisters in Christ in Crossleft reported a progressive Christian site to grow, literally, the olive branch of hope and peace in Israel Palestine ..
I crossed Crossleft first days after my third of five trips in the occupied territories. Anyone who has witnessed life under occupation understands how to put on your skin and you can not tolerate injustice and pain in the stomach and pain in their own complicity in it, just as a U.S. taxpayer.
But after almost two years plead with my sisters and brothers in Crossleft, awaken and communicate with her sisters and brothers in Christ and cousins in Israel and Palestine, and no First, I dusted off my feet for months and offering full peace for all bye bye.

I cried and sighed over Riyadh on this issue of "Ish" and have been pity.
Unfortunately, the literary critic who has found nothing against Jews or anti-Semitic anti-Zionist or even stand HOPE, or on my website, but felt such pain in the absence of my "ish".
Too bad the world of loss of Riyadh and squandering Christianity American the opportunity to reconnect with their roots in the land where Jesus promised that peace will be called son of God, which the bomb, starve or occupy to another.
