hi im 12 and i was wondering is the lovely bones book by alice sebold too mature for my age. the most mature book i have read is my sister’s keeper by jodi picoult (cant wait for the movie) but i have read some reviews most have said that the part where she gets raped and killed is very graphic and over whelming. i figured this was the last part of chapter one so i skipped over that part. so does it get more mature from that point on ?? please tell me thank you

I’m sorry, but it’s much too mature in a lot of ways. I definitely admire that you want to tackle it, but I’m not sure you’re ready. Let me think of some other books that are challenging and deep, but not too mature. I will edit if I come up with anything!
