Ic Help -book Review: Solving the Ic Puzzle
First I want to say that if I could only have one book – this would be the one I’d want. This book has been a literal Godsend and what became a bible for me on my path to natural healing.
The author, Amrit K Willis, is a holistic nurse and a recovered IC patient. She is not a medical doctor and makes it known that the information in her book is for educational and research purposes only. The diet and health procedures in her book are based on her personal experiences, training and research.
Amrit believes that Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is not ‘just’ a disease of the bladder but a manifestation of accumulating body imbalances. She has dedicated her book to all of the individuals who suffer from interstitial cystitis and the practitioners who help us.
Amrit’s foundation for recovering from IC begins with alkalizing the body, She includes in the healing process treating leaky gut, balancing hormones, addressing allergies, detoxifying the liver and healing the digestive and endocrine systems.
The procedure she writes about that helped me the most was her elimination diet. It was difficult at first and I had to make several attempts to ‘get with the program’ but…once I did it was only a matter of weeks before the searing pain in my bladder came to a complete stop!
If you or a loved one are suffering from IC (Interstitial Cystitis) then this is a MUST READ book. I really believe the information will start you on your path to healing.
